Ilerioluwa Empowerment Initiative, led by Minister of Marine and Blue Economy Adegboyega Oyetola, has helped at least 3,000 Osun State citizens. In a statement on Wednesday to commemorate his first year in office, Engr. Olalekan Badmus, the Executive Director of Marine and Operations at the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), revealed this.
Badmus thanked Oyetola, President Bola Tinubu, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) chapter in Osun State for their assistance with his national job.
He emphasized how, under Oyetola’s guidance, the program has benefited Osun citizens by supporting microbusinesses, providing educational aid, and developing community-focused infrastructure.
He said, “Motorcycles, deep freezers, and 50 pieces of 2.5KVA generating sets were distributed to youngsters and traders in the state in an effort to support small companies.”
“750 women were given start-up fund to support their businesses via Ilerioluwa Entrepreneurship Support scheme.
The Ilerioluwa Education Support Scheme improved the lives of more than 1,000 kids. The initiative’s local infrastructure projects, like as boreholes and street lights, also helped communities in Osun State. He gave the state’s citizens his word that Ilerioluwa Initiative would keep supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda.
