According to court documents made available on Monday, the affected individuals are to present themselves at the DSS headquarters in Shangisha, Lagos, to assist security operatives with ongoing investigations into the alleged financial crimes.
News reports that the court’s decision followed an application by federal authorities, who argued that the suspects’ cooperation was necessary for a comprehensive probe into the transactions under investigation.
The court emphasized that the order was issued in the interest of justice and national security, noting that the suspects are expected to comply fully with the directive or risk further legal consequences.
As of the time of filing this report, neither the DSS nor legal representatives of the affected individuals have issued an official response to the court order.
