Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, has reportedly been removed as Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) shortly after the submission of President Bola Tinubu’s presidential nomination form.

The development followed an extraordinary meeting involving about 20 progressive governors held in Abuja. Governors said to have attended the meeting include those from Ogun, Bayelsa, Enugu, and 17 others.

Sources familiar with the meeting disclosed that the governors reached the decision after deliberations on the leadership of the forum and the direction of the progressive bloc ahead of future political activities.
