The NNPCL chief executive also said the company remitted ₦22.3 trillion to the Federal Government through taxes, royalties and other payments during the year.

Meanwhile, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has criticised Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo over his comparison of petrol prices in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Yusuf, the party described the comparison as “callous” and argued that differences in income levels and public transportation systems make direct comparisons between the two countries problematic.
The APM also cited petrol prices in some other oil-producing countries, including Libya and Iran, in making its argument. The party subsequently called on Nigerians to support its presidential candidate, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, in the 2027 election.
