The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that there will be no automatic tickets for Governors Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State, Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State, Agbu Kefas of Taraba State, and other serving governors ahead of future elections.

According to the party’s national leadership, any governor or political office holder seeking to contest on the APC platform must go through the party’s established nomination and primary election processes, in line with its constitution and internal democratic principles.

APC officials stressed that the party is committed to fairness, transparency, and equal opportunity for all aspirants, adding that no individual will be given preferential treatment based on position or influence.

The statement comes amid growing political realignments and speculation over possible defections and alliances ahead of the next general elections, as the APC seeks to manage internal competition and strengthen party cohesion nationwide.
