Suspected kidnappers have seized seven travelers along the Owo-Ipele axis of the Owo-Benin highway in Ondo State.

The incident occurred over the weekend, stoking fears over increased insecurity in the area.
Ondo State Police Public Relations Officer, Funmilayo Odunlami, verified the event, noting that officers have been deployed to rescue the victims.

The kidnapping comes immediately after the killing of five farmers at Ajegunle Powerline in Akure North Local Government Area.
