A tanker caught fire under Otedola Bridge along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Monday, prompting an emergency response from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA). The agency’s spokesperson, Olawale Afolabi, confirmed the incident in a statement, saying a distress report was received at approximately 4:24 p.m.

Afolabi said LASEMA immediately dispatched its Tiger response team to the scene to respond to the emergency. In his brief update, he stated: “Tiger team en route to Otedola. Tanker on fire.” The agency’s deployment was aimed at responding to the incident and assessing the situation at the location.
