Tinubu pledges loyalty to APC agenda and national development
According to President Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership is capable of building Nigeria and making a substantial contribution to the continent’s development.
Tinubu assured Nigerians of a better future while restating his commitment to the Renewed Hope Manifesto during his remarks at the APC Caucus meeting on Tuesday at the State House in Abuja.
We have the power to influence and guide this nation’s future. I enjoy what’s going on in the world. It is showing that we, especially Nigeria, are a great African nation that can develop and support Africa’s growth,” Tinubu said.
In order to ensure that Nigeria has complete control over its agricultural output, the president underlined the significance of food sovereignty, stating it goes beyond simply attaining food security.
“I am a very happy man; this country’s sunny side is approaching.” The days of doom are over; things are improving. We are focusing on the more positive aspects of our nation and its citizens,” he promised.
He reiterated his administration’s resolute stance against those who continue to challenge its policies.
“Despite the din of misinformed, baseless, and pessimistic statements made by our critics on the national stage, our resolve to deliver remains unwavering. They’ll keep doing it, but we’re really focused,” Tinubu stated.
Rationale for Eliminating the Fuel Subsidy
Tinubu justified the elimination of fuel subsidies, stating that their continuation would have severely damaged the economy and impeded development projects, while acknowledging the difficulties Nigerians had encountered as a result of recent economic measures.
He clarified, “The fuel subsidy would have destroyed the nation and prevented citizens from taking advantage of the well-meaning government actions.”
APC members and Nigerians in general were urged by Tinubu to stick with his government as it attempts to realign the nation.
We must build on our achievements and provide a forward-thinking agenda that speaks to Nigerians’ aspirations and expectations as part of our strategic repositioning. We are doing that, as I have promised. “I pledge to uphold our manifesto, progressive principles, and the belief,” Tinubu said.
Applauds Ganduje’s Initiative and Security Enhancements
The president praised Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the APC, for his capable leadership, especially in guaranteeing the party’s wins in a number of elections.
