Wike, Bala Lock Horns In Dramatic War Of Words

Those who witnessed 1999 till date as adults understand that there is really no contest when it comes to political leadership in a state — the sitting governor runs it. This practice was introduced during the PDP era.

It’s also interesting that the president is from the class of ’99 and understands this game very well. So, I’m curious to see how Wike + his Jangilova supporters will navigate this with him.

And please don’t argue that Tinubu is still the political leader of Lagos State. Nah, he built that structure himself from the remnants of his former party.

Unlike the classes of 2007, 2015, and 2023, who largely benefited from the efforts of others, Tinubu took a bold step, broke away, and started a new party. Unfortunately, your man wouldn’t dare. He would rather die fighting over the PDP structure.
