President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the difficult phase of his administration’s economic reforms is ending, saying the sacrifices made by citizens over the past three years are beginning to produce positive results.

The President made the remarks in his Eid-el-Kabir message to Muslim faithful in Nigeria and across the world.

According to Tinubu, Nigeria is gradually moving from economic hardship toward stability, growth, and renewed hope.

“Just as sacrifice brings reward, I am happy that the sacrifices and efforts we have made over the past three years have yielded a more stable economy, making our country a preferred investment destination that will drive job creation and economic growth,” he said.

“The walk through the dark tunnel is over, and the light is here.”

The President linked the significance of Eid-el-Kabir to the sacrifices Nigerians have endured under his administration’s economic reform policies.

He argued that the reforms have helped stabilize the economy and improve investor confidence, while laying the foundation for future job creation and economic expansion.

“By the Grace of God, the reforms we have diligently pursued will continue to yield improved security and greater opportunities for all,” Tinubu added.

The administration’s reforms have included:

• Fuel subsidy removal
• Exchange rate adjustments
• Fiscal restructuring measures

While government officials say the policies are necessary for long-term recovery, many Nigerians continue to express concern over inflation, rising living costs, and economic hardship.

“You Are Neither Forgotten Nor Abandoned”

Tinubu also acknowledged ongoing insecurity in parts of the country, despite recent military and intelligence successes.

He referenced a recent joint Nigeria–United States operation that reportedly led to the elimination of a senior ISIS leader, Abu-Bilal al-Manuki, in the Lake Chad Basin.

“I am aware that, despite the best efforts of our security and intelligence agencies… heartless terrorists and bandits still attack some communities,” he said.

“I assure you: you are neither abandoned nor forgotten. We will ultimately defeat all the forces of evil.”

Call For Unity And Compassion

The President urged Nigerians to use the Eid-el-Kabir celebration as an opportunity to promote peace, unity, sacrifice, and compassion.

He encouraged citizens to support the less privileged and pray for national peace, security, and progress.

Tinubu also appealed to religious and community leaders to continue supporting efforts aimed at strengthening national unity and stability.
