Cornelius Ojelabi, the chairman of the APC in Lagos, has asked members to stick together so that the party can win the city’s next local government elections in 2025.
At the victory celebration and thank-you visit hosted by Ibrahim Layode, the commissioner for home affairs and the coordinator of the Badagry Independent Campaign Council, Mr. Ojelabi made the appeal.
He said members of the Lagos APC should band together to strive for the party’s advancement since President Bola Tinubu banned the Mandate and Justice Forums organizations.
He asserts that the Lagos APC would establish a disciplinary committee and that members who are unable to follow the party’s guidelines may resign.
“I want to assure you that whoever emerges winner in the primaries will be announced once the result is submitted,” he said.
As the only authorized APC meetings, the party chairman asked members to consistently attend ward and local government area meetings.
He encouraged members who had misplaced or failed to register for voter cards to do so.
Nonetheless, Mr. Ojelabi gave them his word that the party will provide them with equal opportunities in the next Lagos council election.
“I want to assure you that whoever emerges winner in the primaries will be announced once the result is submitted,” he said.
