Dangote Refinery Slashes Petrol Price
Dangote Petroleum Refinery noted that the price reduction marked the second after a cut of N60 earlier in the month.
In a move to provide relief to Nigerians, Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, by N65 per litre. This marks the second price reduction by the refinery this month, bringing the price down to N825 per litre at the gantry (ex-depot).

The refinery had earlier reduced the price of petrol by N60 on February 1, and by N70.50 in December 2024, during the yuletide period. These reductions have positively impacted the overall cost of living, benefiting various sectors of the economy.

The new prices for Dangote petrol will be as follows:
– N860 per litre in Lagos
– N870 per litre in the South-West
– N880 per litre in the North
– N890 per litre in the South-South and South-East regions

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reiterated its commitment to providing high-quality products at market-friendly rates. The refinery has sufficient reserves to meet domestic demand and a surplus for export, thereby boosting the country’s foreign exchange earnings.

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has a refining capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, surpassing Nigeria’s average daily requirement of 385,000 barrels. The refinery has exported its products to Europe, America, Asia, and other regions, and recently supplied jet fuel to Saudi Arabia.
