Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has carried out a minor cabinet reshuffle, appointing Musibau Babatunde as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG). The appointment was announced on Monday as part of efforts to strengthen governance and improve service delivery across the state.

Babatunde, who replaces the immediate past SSG, was until his appointment a key member of the governor’s administrative team and is expected to bring his experience to bear in coordinating government policies and programmes. The governor also approved adjustments in the portfolios of some commissioners to enhance efficiency in the running of government.

Governor Makinde said the changes were aimed at repositioning his administration for better performance, stressing that the reshuffle would help align governance priorities with the needs of the people. He urged members of the cabinet to remain committed to transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery.
