Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi-Oke has opened up about a difficult period in her life when she battled a serious health condition that reportedly required her to spend as much as ₦800,000 every month on medication.

The actress made the disclosure during an interview on African A List, where she recounted the financial and emotional challenges she faced while undergoing treatment. She expressed gratitude to God, APC chieftain Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, and some of her colleagues for supporting her during the difficult period.

Ronke particularly recalled the kindness of fellow actress Sotayo, despite the fact that they had not spoken for about five or six years following a disagreement. According to her, Sotayo sent her ₦150,000 after learning about her illness.

“Thank God that He is God, and thanks to MC Oluomo and my colleagues who kept me alive today. Do you know what it means for someone to buy drugs worth ₦800,000 every month?” she said.

The actress said Sotayo’s gesture deeply touched her because it came at a time when she was seriously ill, despite their strained relationship. She also disclosed that she became more involved with the Celestial Church during her illness and stressed that she does not condemn people of other religions.
