In the Ikere Local Council of Ekiti State, the Ikere Ekiti community has promised to step in and help determine the cause of death of the late Nigerian artist and rapper Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known by his stage name Mohbad.

In light of the purported dispute over Mohbad’s son’s paternity, the Europe-based Larry Omodia Foundation for Justice Reform (LOFJR) demanded legislation requiring DNA testing for all newborns in Nigeria.

The statement was made by the community yesterday when the Foundation traveled to Ikere-Ekiti, Ekiti State, to ask Oba Adejimi Adu Alagbado, the paramount monarch, for help in determining the circumstances behind the musician’s death.

The monarch, who spoke at the gathering, lamented Mohbad’s passing and said that the Ikere Ekiti community had not yet accepted the young musician’s passing. “It is rather unfortunate,” he remarked. Sade Adu is from this place, as you are aware. We hoped Mohbad would become another celebrity soon. We have yet to get beyond the agony of his passing.

“Your organization is conducting humanitarian work; may God bless you for it. After reviewing your request, we will respond. Additionally, Chief Sapetu, Prof. Babatola Olufemi, the leader of the kingdom’s council of chiefs, said that the LOFJR’s visit to Ikere Ekiti has further highlighted the need of community intervention.

“Our kid is Aloba. We also have a kid named Mohbad. Although we’ve heard a lot about his passing, your arrival has made the matter more personal and highlighted the need of our involvement. We shall determine where the kingdom will step in after reviewing your request.

The foundation was dispatched to Ikere Ekiti to beg the monarch to assist solve the mystery surrounding Mohbad’s death, according to Mr. Omodia, the charity’s founder and chief executive officer. “On behalf of the world, we implore your majesty to engage the Nigerian Inspector General of Police,” he stated. Utilize your position to pursue Mohbad’s justice via the

Police Inspector General.
“Your son of this land, Joseph Aloba, must be forced to bury Mohbad and cease postponing his journey to the afterlife. You must also encourage and assist him in completing the DNA test as requested by the court and Nigerians.”

In order for the world to know who murdered Mohbad, Omodia also urged the community to force Aloba to return home and call upon his soul. Regarding the need of free DNA testing laws, he stated: “Mohbad’s case involves the DNA element. What percentage of married women have affairs with married men? Millions of them. Murder cases might result from all of this.

Mohbad’s wife has been charged with both knowing what murdered her husband and engaging in promiscuity. We would want this to be resolved.

“We want DNA testing done. We will advocate for legislation requiring all newborns in Nigeria to have a DNA test performed before their father’s identity is revealed. The dads need to be aware of whether they are the genuine deal.

“You have to get your kid a DNA test. To support free DNA testing in Nigeria, the Mohbad case is sufficient.
