Natasha Vs Akpabio: Now We Know Why Female Lawmakers Don’t Talk – Akeredolu’s Wife

Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu, the former First Lady of Ondo State, has sided with Kogi Central Senator Natasha Akpoti in the spat between the senator and Godswill Akpabio.
According to NEWSWORLD, the late former governor Rotimi Akeredolu’s widow claimed that the majority of women in the National Assembly had been humiliated into silence.

Mrs. Akeredolu encouraged Senator Akpoti to take steps that would address her worries in a post on her 𝕏 handle on Wednesday.

Men were not prepared to accept women in public service, she continued, citing the experiences of female parliamentarians nationwide.

“The humiliation of our female senators at the national assembly is disheartening,” she wrote. I had read about Senator Kingibe’s and Senator Natasha’s struggles. The fight between Senator Natasha and Senate President Akpabio supports our claim that men in this nation are unwilling to “shift” so that women can participate in Nigerian administration.

In order to defend their long-held notion that women lack the emotional temperament necessary for high political position, this group of “Boys Brigade” at the national and state assemblies seeks to irritate us.

“No way! This time, it will not work! We now understand why we don’t hear from our female lawmakers. They do not display bills to us. Notin, notin. We gripe that they are bench warmers in the interim. Legislators who are trophy hunters. We know better today. Notin Do You, Natasha! Go! Express your annoyance so that the world is aware of the struggles faced by Nigeria’s few female lawmakers.
