According to NEWSWORLD, Fisayo Oladipo, a well-known leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Owo, was one of the victims of the violent event that took place on Monday.
During his visit to Owo, Wilfred Afolabi, the recently appointed Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, revealed the arrests.

His visit was intended to evaluate the situation and make sure that the town’s curfew, which Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa had enforced, was being followed. Afolabi informed locals that peace had returned to the area after formally taking office on Tuesday. “We are at Owo this morning to assess the level of compliance with the curfew placed on the town by the state government,” Afolabi said during the visit.So far, everything is going well; the town has returned to normal, and everyone is at peace.
“At this point, we have 19 individuals in our possession and just four confirmed deaths in our record,” he said, confirming the arrests. Additionally, the police commissioner sent a strong warning to anyone disturbing the tranquility of the neighborhood. Afolabi said, “And for those who love peace, we can guarantee that there will be a favorable environment for them. However, for those who despise peace, they will not find it easy with us because we will follow them everywhere they go and the laws of the land will catch them.”
Authorities continue to investigate the killings to bring those responsible to justice.
